This five-day residential event was held at St Deiniol’s Library in Hawarden - CH5 3DF

St Deiniol's is the UK's finest residential library and one of the top small conference destinations in North Wales.

Founded in 1889 by William Ewart Gladstone, St Deiniol's is located in the picturesque village of Hawarden, just 10 minutes drive from Chester and 15 minutes from the M56 motorway.

4 - 8 January 2010 : St Deiniol’s Library 

This event introduced students to the issues involved in interdisciplinary study through a mixture of lectures, workshops and independent study.The final day was spent visiting the Museum of Science and Industry and the John Rylands special collections in Manchester.

There were twenty funded places given to doctoral students for this training event.
